Book Review: Yellow Owl Workshop’s Make It Yours

Yellow Owl Workshop’s Make It Yours is the second book by Christine Schmidt that I read. The first was Print Workshop. This book is divided into sections by motifs such as abstract, everyday, celebration, travel, flora and fauna, etc. The author begins by discussing the tools and supplies and goes onto creating projects with stepped-out images and instructions. She also states the skill level, time and materials for each project. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned crafter, you are sure to find inspiration for your next project in this book! I know I'll be trying the dyed washi paper technique for some custom wrapping papers of my own.

Book Review: Super Genes

Did you know that we can TRAIN our genes for a healthier life? Our genes shaping us is really not an one-way traffic, we have the ability to shape our gene activities! Based on years of genetic research, Super Genes by Deepak Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi speaks of making lifestyle choices that can unlock the potential in our DNA to a healthier and balanced life.
The book is divided into three parts. The first part is about the science of transformation, the second's about lifestyle choices for radical well-being and the third part is about guiding your own evolution. There are quizzes for understanding where we stand and stories of transformations from real people. It provides a powerful alternative way of approaching prevention and boosting immunity for optimum health and well-being.
