Another Holiday card with Sizzix

Hi everyone! Here's another Holiday card tutorial  using Sizzix dies and embossing folders by Tim Holtz.

On this card,  I used:
Supplies:

Others:
Adhesive
Cardstock
DecoArt Fluid Acrylic Paint Metallic Silver
Paint brush
Ranger Distress Ink pad: Peacock Feathers
Ranger Ink blending tool
Ranger Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber Metallic Gold

Start by diecutting the sentiments. Pick a Label die and place a block Holiday Word inside it on a standard cutting pad on top of the Magnetic Platform. Be sure to put the dies blade side up. The strong magnets of the platform hold the dies securely in place allowing you to get precision cuts. Layer cardstock on top of the dies and top it off with another standard cutting pad. Pass the whole sandwich through the Big Shot machine.

Trim cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" pieces. Place them inside Holiday Knits embossing folders. Place the folder between two cutting pads and lay it on the embossing tab of the multipurpose platform. Pass the sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot machine.

Lay Layered Snowflake die blade side up. Place cardstock on top. Put them between two standard cutting pads and run the sandwich through the Big Shot machine. To add beautiful embossed details, place the diecut snowflake inside the accompanying Texture Fade embossing folder. Put the folder between two cutting pads and place it on the embossing tab of the multipurpose platform. Pass the sandwich through the Big Shot machine.

With ink blending tool, apply Peacock Feathers Distress ink to the Holiday Knit embossed piece.

Color the smaller pinked circle label with DecoArt Metallic Silver Fluid Acrylic paint. Color the center of the bigger pinked circle with Adirondack Metallic Gold Acrylic paint. Mount the sentiment to the bigger label with foam tape to add dimension.

Color the embossed design on the layered snowflake with Adirondack Metallic Gold Acrylic paint.

Attach the Holiday Knit background piece to card front. With foam tape attach the snowflake on the top part of the card. With more foam tape, attach the layered sentiment labels at the center of the snowflake. Splatter gold paint across the card to finish.

I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial and would be using some of these fun dies for your holiday crafting this year.
