Some CHA pictures

Well, I didn't get to go to CHA... the darn kidney stones made travel a big no-no for me and so I was stuck in the hospital and then at home while my heart and soul was in California! But the sweetest Paula Cheney sent me these photos from the show... from Tim Holtz's booth. I still can't believe that I got this lucky!!! Throughout the entire process, I got every product, every freedom, every support I needed and more from Tim, Mario, and Paula and it still feels like I'm in a dream and I never want to wake up! Thanks guys :)

I can finally share...

I did this one for Tim Holtz this CHA using his new alphabet dies, stamps, papers, tissue tape, and numeric stencil clip... and he mentioned it on his blog...SWOON!!!

I love to organize! I would love to figure out a better system for my embellishments. I have them by color, but they barely fit in the boxes now. I need something new.

I did this calendar way back in October for a blog hop with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft and 100 Proof Press stamps.

Happy New Year, Mou!! Your art is lovely, and I am a huge fan. That said, do you plan on sharing the rest of your DD on the OA website. Yours is most inspiring, and I am still finishing mine now.
I'm hoping to share more pages on the OA blog later this month. I didn't get to work on DD in December much because I was in the hospital, sick! So, I'm slowly working on various things now and hoping to catch up and actually finish my DD.

A page from my art journal

Recently, I came across a lovely stamp company called Paperbag Studios. The owner and creator of this company Roben-Marie is super sweet! She sent me my favorite stamps from her collection! I have to say I'm truly 'heart'ing these stamps and they are making their way into my cards, journals, and more. Here's one called Vanessa.

I made this page with her...

When I shared my page with Roben-Marie, she gave me the cute little story behind this stamp.

Faber-Castell 'Take the Challenge' January 2013

Hi everyone, welcome to the first 'Take the Challenge' of 2013!

I have started a challenge series over at the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft blog. I think you might enjoy participating in this challenge. I'll be posting the challenges here on my blog, but to win prizes you'll need to link you creations in your comments on the Design Memory Crafts blog to my challenge post.
Today, I have a challenge for you. I feel that creative challenges help us experiment and learn new
things. Challenges can help us get unstuck from creative ruts. They can also inspire us to create in ways we would not have thought of otherwise. So, I decided to take a few creative challenges myself and thought you might like to play along.
Every month, on the first Monday, I'll post a challenge and my take on it. You'll have 12 days to take this on. Leave a comment to the challenge post with a link to your creation based on that challenge. The following Monday, we will pick TWO winners randomly from among the readers who participated in that week's challenge. And the winners will get a prize from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®.
Today's challenge is about CREATIVE RESOLUTIONS.
Document your creative resolution(s) for 2013 in some form of art.
Every new year, many of us resolve to do certain things, set up goals, make plans, make lists, and such. My creative resolutions for 2013 are to try new things, to try to think outside the box, to stretch beyond my comfort zone, to look for creative possibilities, and also to expand my creative connections by attending crops and shows and events, teaching and taking classes, making new creative friends, and more.
In keeping with my resolution about trying new things and making new connections, I made this New Year's greeting card for a new friend.
In an attempt to do something out of the box, I used an image that does not necessarily relate to celebrations, but something that let me express my sentiments perfectly.
These are the steps to making this card:
1. I scribbled on the card with Paper Crafter Crayons™ to create a colorful freestyle background.
2. Then I pieced together a few scraps of paper, some washi tape, and fabric.
3. I used Stamper's Big Brush Pen: BLACK to ink up my stamp. I cut out the stamped image and layered it on the card.
4. I stitched the pieces to secure them as well as to add some texture.
5. Finally, I added the sentiment using Essential PITT® Artist Pens: BLACK
Don't forget to share your clallenge creations with us... just leave a comment to this post with link to your project image(s) by Friday, 1/18 and we will pick TWO winners randomly to win these
The prizes for this challenge are:
Don't forget to check back on Monday, 1/21 to see if YOU won!
Hope you play along!
