poor Omie is sick again... sinus infection this time and croup and allergies... man, you should see the pollen count here... poor thing tries to keep himself busy but gets bored... so, I try to find new ways to keep him entertained. Lately, I dug out my Elvis CDs and the power cord of the CD player and we are rockin and rollin... ya know, good for me too as it takes my mind off the stress that ineveitably finds its way into my day in some sneaky way!

So, these are our Elvis picks for the day -
Nini's absolute favorite :
and that kitty... SO CUTE!!! well, that's as close my lil girlie can get to a kitty

Omie and I are more this type:

Well, I hope these brighten your day at least a wee bit ... as most of us have very little to hold on to right now.

P.S. Mandy, I give most of my tags as or with gifts. Some I tuck in here and there around the house. Nini appreciates them a lot and keeps some of them. Others, I use in my projects. So, I'm pretty much like you with tags :)

ummm... that would be me. I love tags. I make them for no reasonable reason. Just fun little thingies... sigh! Did this one for the Cocoa Daisy February newsletter.
A lot to clean up today... a severely neglected laundry room for instance. You know it's time for intervention when it's hard to tell the clean ones from the dirty...
A few school projects waiting to be researched and finished.
Library books to be read and returned. Recently, I finished reading Sundays at Tiffany's. Unexpected ending for sure. And I just always seem to refer to it as Breakfast at Tiffany's... huh!
Anywhoo, before procrastination kicks in, I'm taking off :)

Here's my cutest flea market find!
It's yellow.
It's small.
It's happy.

A model golf cart complete with original drawings
Okay, it's not an antique or anything... but I'll admit that I don't go to the FM in search of value... it's just for the joy of junking :)

And a page share -

Can you spot the girl?

Yep, she still does that... just tucks her tiny self in the most unlikely places and gets busy with reading or a project of her own... sometimes she is so completely engrossed in her fun, that she doesn't even hear us... Ummm... this could be hereditary :)

Hello chilly day

... low 30s in the morning in Tampa is unusual! Not sure, how I would have handled snow and ice that I'm familiar with only in the form of snowcones and icecreams. But, I'm enjoying this chilly morning as it is bright and sunny. My scrappy goal today is to bring Nini's school book up-to-date. It is not going to be as detailed as Om's. Other than that I do hope for some unplanned creativity which is always a good thing. Before I go, here's another page from my Piggy Tales DT submission.

Have a fun day :)

My birds

So, I had bought these stone-carved birds a while back. Then I took a photo a little while after that. And then I printed the photo-that was also a while back. After that I filed it along with other photos and slowly forgot about it. It turned up this morning while I was searching for something else. I decided to scrap it because to me, this pair embodies simple everyday kind of love... not the smothering, overwhelming, demanding kind... just the simple sweet signs of love that aren't always romantic or passionate but the kind that you feel just because you are around your loved ones.
In my layout, I paired the photo with a simple sketched heart rimmed with a few buttons and my favorite set of alpha stamps... all by Rusty Pickle.
I guess some things need to wait for the right time to come :)

Good morning Tuesday :)

It's sunny here after two days of rain. I hope to scrap today. Hard to stop once you start... my scrapping spree started late on Sunday. Yesterday, I brought Om's school book up-to-date... that was a lot of scrapping with his progress report, mementos, art work and of course, photos.

This also means that my floor is flooded with scrappy stuff...again! So, I'll get back to scrapping but before I do, here's another page with the Cocoa Daisy February kit.
You too have a scrappy day :)

A page

I made with the Cocoa Daisy february kit... totally Rebecca Sower inspired :)
Last night we ate too much while watching Superbowl... I don't understand a thing about the game, but loved all the colors and excitement... boy, our own Tampa downtown looked so different last night!

Hoping to scrap today

as something I saw in a country magazine while waiting at the doc's office last Friday, inspired me! Then I had to go out and get my personal copy of that magazine so I can tear a page out to include in my inspiration pile... totally worth it!
We are doing better... that felt SO good to type... sure, there's meds to finish and strength to regain, but hey, today on this first day of a brand new February, we are not shivering under wraps or crying in pain...
The above page was part of my Piggy Tales DT entry which I managed somehow to submit last second this last month. Needless to say, I was overjoyed to get a call from Trina Linford on Friday evening telling me that I actually made the team. Well, that was a little bit of sunshine on an otherwise dreary week.
Today, I'm taking it easy... and hoping to scrap! If you are a scrapper, hope you too have a scrappy day :)
