Blog Series - Summer Art Journaling June Inspiration Day 2

Welcome to my Blog Series - Summer Art Journaling June Inspiration Day 2. I am sharing an image of my art journal page, my thoughts behind the page and my supply list.

Sometimes, I just can't justify diverting funds to buying all the new goodies that call my name oh so seductively. I end up dedicating that money to buying new pointe ballet shoes for my oldest who squeals out, “Mommy, I love you!” or buy a new toy for my youngest whose face would light up so sweetly because she was not even expecting it. These little moments of joy marinate in me and seep into my art which I have learned to modify to work with things I have at hand. The most important skill is to learn HOW to play.

Supplies*:
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos Mix and Match Set
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft PITT Artist Pens Lettering Set - Modern
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pen - BLACK
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gel Medium
Other: Watercolor paper, paint brush, water cup, paper towel

I totally agree! There are so many things you can use on hand to create because things for the children always seem to come before craft supplies. I never seem to be up to date on the new craft products because why tempt myself with things I know that I am not going to be able to buy. But then when I see them on peoples blogs, I always go check it out. I love your page today. Beautiful bright colors.

Yep, I'm a big fan of finding more uses for my craft supplies, Kate. I still buy a lot too but try to make sure I use most of what I buy.
