Book Review: Super Genes

Did you know that we can TRAIN our genes for a healthier life? Our genes shaping us is really not an one-way traffic, we have the ability to shape our gene activities! Based on years of genetic research, Super Genes by Deepak Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi speaks of making lifestyle choices that can unlock the potential in our DNA to a healthier and balanced life.
The book is divided into three parts. The first part is about the science of transformation, the second's about lifestyle choices for radical well-being and the third part is about guiding your own evolution. There are quizzes for understanding where we stand and stories of transformations from real people. It provides a powerful alternative way of approaching prevention and boosting immunity for optimum health and well-being.
*I got this book from Bloging for Books for this review.

Card Tutorial: You Are Gold To Me

Hi there! Happy First Day of Spring to you! Today I have a card tutorial for you using the new Silver and Gold Collection from Richard Garay. I particularly love the sentiment stamp 'You Are Gold To Me'! Let me show you how I made this card starting with the supplies I used.

Supplies (some are affiliate links):
River Stone True Color Fusion Ink
Whip Cream Cardstock
River Stone Cardstock

Let's get started.

Stamp the big flowers from the Silver Wishes stamp/die set with River Stone True Color Fusion Ink on Whip Cream cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment 'You Are Gold To Me' with Golden Glow True Color Fusion Ink on Whip Cream cardstock.
Use the corresponding die from the Silver Wishes Stamp/Die set with the Amaze machine to die-cut the flowers.
Color the petals of the die-cut flowers with Raw Gold Silk Luster using the brush cap.

Use the Amaze machine with the Elegant Lattice Embossing Folder to emboss the design on the River Stone Cardstock trimmed to 4 inches x 5.25 inches.
Rub some Journey Brush Gold PanPastel to accentuate the embossed pattern.
Trim a piece of Whip Cream cardstock to 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches. Fold in half to make a 5.5 inches x 4.25 inches card.
Attach the embossed cardstock at the center of the card base.
Splatter some Raw Gold Silk Luster on the card.

Attach a gold Elegant Doily embellishment to the card.
Attach two of the Sparkle Feather embellishments as shown.
Layers the flowers overlapping each other as shown.
Cut the sentiment in a strip and attach below the flowers to finish.

Here are some close-ups of my card.
I hope you enjoy!
