Book Review: Portrait Revolution

Julia L. Kay's Portrait Revolution is based on an international collaborative art project called Julia Kay's Portrait Party that has more than 1,000 members from more than 55 countries and the group has produced more than 50,000 portraits of each other.

These portraits encompass a wide variety of media from pencil to needle arts, style ranging from realistic to abstract, by themes, by location, by substrates and colors. It is amazing to see the various takes by the different artists of the one and same person.

There are peeks into the processes and valuable tips from various artists. If you have wanted to try portraiture but couldn't figure out how to start, this book can definitely open you up to the array of wonderful possibilities!
*I got this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
