Smile for the camera

Hi everyone, today I'm here with another Sizzix tutorial.

Making this card today using the following:
Gel Medium, Gesso, watercolor pencils, PITT Artist pen, palette knife: Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft
Acrylic paints: DecoART Media
Others: cardstock, buttons, twine, adhesive, stapler, buttons, thread, needle,

Let me walk you through the steps.

To diecut the pieces, lay a cutting pad on the extended magnetic platform, lay the dies blade-side up on the cutting pad, put cardstock on the dies and cover with the second cutting pad and pass the whole sandwich through the Big Shot machine.
I'm taking a mixed media approach here, so I didn't diecut all the layers and details of the camera. But if you do, you'll have a wonderfully layered detailed camera.

Create the card base by attaching book paper to the diecut card pieces with gel medium. Color the pieces with acrylic paints with a palette knife.

Attach the pieces to the card base in layers.

Color the camera with watercolor pencils and add details with pen.

Attach the camera and sentiment to the card.

Cut some twine and attach it to the card below the sentiment with staples.

Embellish with buttons to finish the card.
With this die set, you can not only make a card, but also make great detailed embellishments for scrapbook pages and more.
Thanks for stopping by :)

You card makes me smile! Love the way you've taken a die cut and made a collage. The bright colors on the bottom layers really make the camera stand out.
