Hello everyone! I have a layout tutorial for you today.
My daughter just had her birthday and these Stephanie Barnard Triplit dies seemed just perfect for a layout about the day.
These are the products I used:
Others: cardstock, watercolor, adhesive, paintbrush
Let me walk you through the steps:
Trim cardstock to size. Lay out the Triplits dies blade side up on a standard cutting pad over the magnetic platform for wafer thin dies. The magnets ensure that the dies are held in place for cutting which means you get precision cuts and a lot out of one piece of paper. Now lay the cardstock over the dies and top off the sandwich with another cutting pad and roll it through the Big Shot machine to get all the pieces shown above.
Using the paper piercer from the Stamper's Secret Weapon set, gently pop out the diecuts from the dies.
I cut two sets for my layout. You can cut as many as you need.
Color the pieces with watercolors.
Layer the diecut pieces to make your own unique embellishments. Given all the pieces in these Triplits sets, the possibilities are endless!
With a fine brush and watercolor, write your message on the cardstock background. Some of it will get covered, but that's okay.
Attach your photo and the diecut embellishments you just created.
Journal near the photo to finish.
Hope you enjoyed today's tutorial and will play with the fun little Triplit dies.
