Stampin' Up! new releases

Here's a card with FOUR of Stampin' Up's newest releases... obviously, I can't get enough of their beautiful products :)

Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder 132175
Festive Flurry Clear Stamp Set + Festive Flurry Framelits Dies 133285
Naughty And Nice This and That Rotary Stamp 132278

I started by stamping the gorgeous snowflakes on cardstock.
Then I lined up the stamped images inside the corresponding dies and ran them through my new Big Shot machine.
I used the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of vellum.
Next, I attached the embossed vellum to the card and stacked up the snowflakes to create layers and dimension using foam tape.
Finally, I added the sentiment using the Naughty and Nice rotary stamp.
I had such fun doing this one! Thanks Stampin' Up for sending me these lovelies!

Back To School with Glitz

School's back in session here. New routines to settle in. Fresh things to learn. Here's a layout I created about this time.
Glitz Design had chalkboard design patterned papers in several of its collections. I picked one from the Uncharted Waters collection as my backdrop. It worked well with a photo of a stack of colorful school supplies. To use a school-themed word, I cut out the 'know' from a Love You Madly paper layer to create my title. I matted the photo with several layers of staggered patterned papers from the 6x6 paper packs from Uncharted Waters, Sunshine In My Soul, Color Me Happy, and Love You Madly collections.
Here are some close-up shos of the details.

Glitz Design supplies used:
Uncharted Waters 6 x 6 paper pad
Uncharted Waters 12 x 12 Stripe paper
Uncharted Waters Journal Stickers
Sunshine In My Soul 6 x 6 paper pad
Love You Madly 6 x 6 paper pad
Love You Madly Paper Layers
Color Me Happy 6 x 6 paper pad
Cashmere Dame Title Stickers
Others: paints, cardstock, paper clip, edge distressor
Thanks for stopping by :)

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft 'Take the Challenge' August 2013

Hi everyone, welcome to the eighth 'Take the Challenge' of 2013!

I have started a challenge series over at the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft blog. I think you might enjoy participating in this challenge. I'll be posting the challenges here on my blog, but to win prizes you'll need to link you creations in your comments on the Design Memory Crafts blog to my challenge post.

Every month, on the first Monday, I'll post a challenge and my take on it. You'll have 12 days to take this on. Leave a comment to the challenge post with a link to your creation based on that challenge. The following Monday, we will pick TWO winners randomly from among the readers who participated in that week's challenge. And the winners will get a prize from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®.
Summer's in full swing! Around here most days are busy though with activities, work, etc. But in the little pockets of downtime, there are moments to count blessings, to just take brief break from rushing from one thing to the next... during these moments, I sometimes ponder over some words to live by.
So, today's challenge is about making something about your favorite words to live by.
I did this little book of wisdom using Design Memory Craft's newest CHA release: Art Boards along with Gelatos, Stamper's Big Brush pens , Stamper's Big White Pen, Gesso, Gel medium, PITT Artist's pens, and some diecuts, stamps, stencils, etc.

Here are a couple of spreads from the book.

I hope you too will take this creative challenge!

Don't forget to share your challenge creations with us... just leave a comment to the challenge post at the Design Memory Craft blog with link to your project image(s) by Friday, 8/16 and we will pick TWO winners randomly to win these.
The prizes for this challenge is: One set of Gelatos® in the colors of your choice, and a Gelatos Tool Set!
Don't forget to check back on Monday, 8/19  to see if YOU won!
