Mica flakes are really easy to use but have an amazing impact on your layout almost instantly. Consider using mica flakes next time you are thinking of using bling on your pages. You won't be disappointed :)

Awesome to be on the front cover. Congrats!. i love mixed media. My fav by far is gesso. O use it on Everything!
LOVE that layout! I don't do a lot of mixed media and would enjoy learning more.
my favorite medium is ink, I haven't expanded past my stampy beginnings I'm afraid.
I love the way you used the mica flakes for the crest of the waves. It gives so much dimension. I play with paint on some but I know I have so much to learn about mixed media.

I'd really love to win this book...I just started getting into mixed media & haven't used very many products, but I never knew how to get that awesome texted feel on canvas...now I do...with modeling paste...so much fun to use! :)

Wow, congrats on the cover! I like to play around with different medias. I try new things, some I like and others I don't. I do use a lot of inking.

my fave medium is paint b/c I can layer it, ink it, chalk it, sand it, do oh so many things to a painted surface. and you can paint anything from paper to chipboard to eyelets and more.
Love your two pager its HOT and just makes you feel the action in the photos!

Fun page!!! I love how the photos become the background. I love using paints, inks, tissue, and found items. I recently did a page with a few electronic parts from my dads work shop. Just a small resistor and a few tiny metal washers. They blend in well with the silk flowers, buttons and bling.
I haven't played with mixed media much yet. I really want to try dylusions spray ink.

Great page! I love oh my.....how do I pic a favourite. Mists, gesso, molding paste....so many to choose from!! :)
My favorite and most often used technique is inking.
GREAT layout! Personally, I'm not much of a mixed-media person though I'd love to give it a try. I'm more of a straight ink gal. :)
