Been sick all week... NO fun!!!
Catching up on blog...
I learned about the The Burning House by Foster Huntington via Paula Cheney of the 7 Gypsies. Paula wanted to put together her version of the same on her blog. Participating in this project was thought-provoking. You can follow Paula's posts here. And here are my valuables...
And earlier this week Brenda Pinnick launched her new stamps on HSN and the Faber-Castell design team created projects for her show. Here's mine.
Hi and welcome to the CKU Blog Hop! We’re excited to share with you projects that we hope get you excited about CKU Reunion, whether you’ve already registered, are planning to come, or wishing you were coming.
Information about CKU
Join us at CKU Reunion in San Diego, CA October 27-29 for a weekend of creating, connecting, and inspiration. You’ll spend one day completing an album that will be ready for photos when you get home and another day creating in four 90 minute classes including mixed media canvas art, fabric creations, jewelry, and more. Plus, there are evening crops, bonus classes, goodie bags, a commemorative tote, and so much more all for only $295! And you’ll be learning from some of the industry’s finest such as Lisa Bearnson, Teresa Collins, Stacy Julian, Michelle Hill, Megan Hoeppner, and other inspiring teachers. You know you want to come, so register today so you’ll have plenty of time to pack your supplies for the trip.
And here's the class decription for CK's very own Megan Hoeppner's Album Track: Got Your Number We've got your number in this incredible 11 page 12" x 12" album class. Join us as we count the ways numbers impact your everyday life. You'll look back on important numeric events in your life, such as memorable milestones (marriage, graduation, etc.), and significant (and playful) quantities (the number of children you have, the amount of times you indulge in your favorite vice every day, etc.). And you'll have a blast personalizing your album with numbers unique to you-your home address, your lucky number, etc. Plus, as you add up the numbers of your life, you'll learn innovative techniques such as coloring with Twinkling H20s, stitching, and misting all while using Pink Paislee's NEW Daily Junque line. Top it off with clever ideas for using unexpected supplies, such as cupcake liners, washi tape, bakers twine, and more, and you've got one fresh album. Whatever your digit, this album is rated a 10.0 for fun and creativity! Here's one of my layouts that uses numbers prominently...

It's really rare for me to have an album ready beforehand for an ocassion... but that happened with my Halloween album this year! I have the pages done and whenever I have my photos ready, I'll add them, add the remaining embellishments and journal...it's a good feeling!
In our family, September is birthday month! Mine's today, Nini's on the 26th, my best friend's on the 11th, my cousin's on the 7th and more... since I got birthday on my mind, that's the topic of my first layout.
I just love these Glitzers... glad the pack came with the perfect title for my page.
My second layout is about one of our favorite places to visit whenever we drive to the Smoky Mountains!
