First Giveaway of 2011

Creating Keepsakes' newest special issue is out... The Best of Digital Scrapbooking!

Now I am not a digi scrapper... for one excuse or another, I haven't tried my hands at it. When I opened up this issue, I find the fabulous layouts that intrigued me and as I was getting ready to sigh and say, 'I could never do that!', I noticed that there are step-by-step instructions and many with screen shots. It kinda decodes the mystery step-by-step for you. No matter what your scrapping level is, I think it is definitely worth a try. Just take a look at some of the gorgeous layouts here. And this one...oh, this one is my absolute favorite!!!

Now, thanks to CK, I can give away ONE copy of this brand new special issue. Please leave a comment to this post to tell me what one new creative thing you plan on trying in 2011 by Sunday 1/16/2011 and I'll announce one randomly picked winner on the 17th. You can also use the coupon code DS25DT at check out to earn free shipping on orders of $25 or more at the Scrap & Paper Shop.

Good luck :)

One of my new year's resolutions was to do at least ONE scrapbooking-related thing every day. Whether I edit/print photos, punch some butterflies, or finish a layout or 3, it all counts! Thanks for the chance.

I don't know how to sew yet, but I have purchased the supplies and pattern to create a vintage/retro owl pillow. Thanks for the chance to win the special issue.

I'm not a digi scrapper myself (tried it and didn't like it) but I always love looking at nice LOs, so count me in ;-)

Oh I totally didn't read the instructions about what to comment on. I intend, in 2011, to learn how to do cute cupcakes with pretty toppings, including themes.

Hi! I have 2 very lofty creative goals for the first half of this year- create and complete 2 complete baby scrapbooks. Maybe digital is the way to go after my baby is born?!?!

I definitely want to try playing with 2-pagers! I've been trying to steer clear of them for the longest time..

I plan on trying my hands at mists... I never get the look I want with them!!

well it's not something I'm going to TRY, as much as start again - cross-stitch. While cleaning and arranging my house, I found my old stuff from my pre-mommy days. I'm going to at least finish the ornament kits that have been languishing in a box for a decade!

I dabbling in Digi scrapping a bit. This year I would love to try to do more 2 pagers and maybe learn to knit.

I have dabbled in digi - I even purchased photoshop and a digi software program (I haven't loaded them yet... why am I intimidated? or just that I feel guilty b/c I have a forest of great papers already?) You asked for what we are trying new in 2011.. well I have also been scared to run paper thru my sewing machine.. I love the look of stiching, but what tension? what kind of thread? so many questions... Well I took the plunge and I feel sheepish to say how easy it was. :)

One thing i'd like to try this year is to paint on canvas. I've always used paint on my layouts but for some reason taking it to the canvas seems so intimidating! Would love to get my hands on this new CK issue!!

hmm...one creative thing??? I really want to learn to sew...on fabric, not paper like I normally do! I'd like to be able to make my own pillows with some fab Amy Butler fabric :)
