Slight hiatus

Hello there... I haven't blogged in a few days because something came up and I had been busy dealing with it... I'll have to go to India for a few days leaving on 10/24 to take care of something. Most probably won't get around to blogging till I get back.
I've posted this in my shop announcement on Etsy and BigCartel, but still wanted to say it here. I'll ship any orders placed between now and 10/22, on 10/23. Anything between 10/23 and 11/9, will be shipped on 11/10.
Wish me luck so I can get done what I'm going home to do :)

Hmmm...

One flat tire + a very messy desk = a very crafty day!!!

And then, next day, air was put in the flat tire with bicycle pump, so it could be dragged to the reapir shop... sort of like riding a three-legged horse!!!
And then, they fail to take out the nail (oh, the joys of driving on a road where construction never ends...ever!) because it was too far out at the edge :(
So, replace the tire... oh yeah, and then there was not a tire that would match... so a little wait which got a little longer and then a close match was put in and it still feels funny! And it cost $138.00 only!!!
Moral of the story: Nothin is perfect, there's always some good thrown in with the bad... in this case, it was my day off from driving :)
Happy weekend!

Shop Update

Check these out: my Etsy and Big Cartel shop updates :)

Workshop on 10/10/10

I'll be teaching a mixed media journal workshop at Scraporium next Sunday from 2-4pm. Denise Hopkinson, the owner, will open the doors of her store on a Sunday to accommodate this workshop and I like the date... 10/10/10 :)
This is what we will make:

And here's a description of the class:
In this class, you will play with textures as you create a colorful Halloween art journal. Whether you record your thoughts on Halloween or document what you do this October 31st, there will be 50+ pieces for you to play with. The pieces will come ready to you cut, inked, painted and stamped and the pieces are handmade, handstitched. All the hard work will be done for you, you just bring your photos, creativity and a few basic supplies to class.
That day, you are very likely to meet a few special ladies from the supportive community of the Tampa Bay Scrapbooking Guild.

I'll be updating my shop today and will make another post here once all that's done :)

Happy Monday!
