Stormy, gusty windy and rainy...

weather here... I didn't dare to take Nini to school today after I sat up most of last night listening to the wind howl. I hope Ashis makes it home safely tonight. He's flying from NC. The kids are bored to stay indoors. Ever since they heard in the news that gators and snakes are roaming the flooded roads, they are glued to the window to see them, but of course, thankfully that is not happening here... that would have me FREAKED!

I did manage to create some quick pages with all the awesome awesome new Chatterbox goodies. Here they are.

First day of school

is today, still too young for public schools and so still in Primrose. I am back from dropping off kiddo # 1 at school, saying a quick hi to the new teacher, making and feeding kiddo # 2 breakfast and I'm blogging. I don't know why # 2 insists on me roasting marshmallows for him now, he won't take no for an answer and I've run out of excuses... huh!

Books, movies and art

Yesterday afternoon, I scrapped 3 pages and watched three movies. Today its raining and its dark outside. If the skies don't clear up by the evening, I'll have to postpone my photography plans till tomorow.
This last Sunday, I painted after a long time. It will be a gift to my parents.
Interpreter of Maladies is drawing me in. It's incredible. I'm hoping to get hold of Unaccustomed Earth soon.

Man, 18 hours, 367 pages, my 9th summer read and I'm blown away.
Last night, I started reading Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri.
Last week of summer vacation before school's back in session. First grade.
I flew back from Utah last Saturday. Highlights are

• I did not win
• I loved Tim Holtz's classes :)
• I made new friends

And today, I definitely plan on taking photos... my camera has been idle lately!

I'm here now

I have been reading this book, The Power of Now and it is having an impact on me. I'm trying to talk less and just live in the moment. So, this will be a small post :)
Carolyn and Bethany, I loved reading Kite Runner and the Splendid Suns is on its way to me.
These are a few stuff I created with the August Cocoa Daisy kit.
And tomorrow early morning, I'm leaving for Utah for SOY.
